- One Nation, One Election Report Submitted: A high-level committee on ‘One Nation, One Election’ submitted its report to President Droupadi Murmu. The committee, headed by former President Ram Nath Kovind, recommended simultaneous elections in India in its over 18,000-page report.
- New Election Commissioners: Retired IAS officers Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu were appointed as Election Commissioners by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led high-level committee.
