  • Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act 2024: The government introduced the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, to curb paper leaks and cheating in public exams. The Act includes provisions for a maximum jail term of 10 years and a fine of up to ₹1 crore for offenders.
  • High-Level Committee for NTA Exams: The education ministry announced the formation of a seven-member high-level committee to ensure transparent and fair conduct of exams by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The committee is headed by former ISRO chief Dr. K Radhakrishnan.
  • India-Bangladesh Agreements and MoUs: India and Bangladesh exchanged agreements and renewed multiple MoUs in various fields, including digital and green partnerships, maritime cooperation, the blue economy, health, space collaboration, and disaster management.
