Abhinav Bindra Honored:
The International Olympic Committee Executive Board has decided to award India’s first individual Olympic gold medallist, Abhinav Bindra, with the Olympic Order for his outstanding services to the Olympic Movement.
Union Budget 2024-25:
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2024-25 in the Lok Sabha, marking the first Budget of the Narendra Modi government in its third term and her seventh consecutive Union Budget.
New Tax Regime:
The standard deduction for those under the new regime has been raised from Rs 50,000 to Rs 75,000, with new tax slabs introduced. The salaried employee in the New Tax Regime stands to save up to Rs 17,500 in income tax based on the changes.
