- Lok Sabha Elections – Second Phase Voting: Polling for the second phase was conducted for 20 seats in Kerala, 14 in Karnataka, 13 in Rajasthan, eight each in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra, seven in Madhya Pradesh, five each in Assam and Bihar, three each in Bengal and Chhattisgarh, and one each in Jammu and Kashmir, Manipur, and Tripura. The voter turnout was over 61%.
- Para-Shooting Success: Indian para-shooter Mona Aggarwal won a gold medal in the women’s 10m air rifle. In comparison, Army man Amir Ahmed Bhatt secured silver in the 25m pistol at the World Shooting Para Sports tournament in Changwon, Korea.
- Tanzania Flooding: At least 155 people have died due to flooding and landslides caused by heavy rains in Tanzania.
